Hello world! I am a PhD student in Evolutionary Anthropology department at Duke University, supervised by Dr. Jenny Tung.
Inspired by Jane Goodall as a kid, I have long had a passion for studying animal behavior. I have worked with white-headed langurs, titi monkeys (Bales Lab), insects (Zhang lab) and all kinds of wildlife in Southwest China (Li Lab) during my undergrad years.
Currently, I study baboons. The Amboseli Baboon Research Project provides an amazing dataset which cumulated over the past 50 (!!) years, covering different aspects of baboon biology, from behavior to hormones to genetics.
My ambitious (and maybe a bit unrealistic?) goal is to put all these puzzle pieces together, to give an answer for the ultimate question: How does the social environment get under the skin?
